The issue with Places API, Places API (New), Places Library, Maps JavaScript API, Places SDK for Android, Places SDK for iOS has been resolved for all affected users as of Thursday, 2024-09-12 20:50 US/Pacific.

Summary: Increased 5xx error from Place Autocomplete API

Description: Our engineering team successfully applied mitigation measures to the Autocomplete service, and the server error rate and latencies are now back to their level before the start of this incident.

We will continue monitoring the server error rate and latencies to confirm the service is stable, and will provide an update by Thursday, 2024-09-12 22:00 US/Pacific with current details.
