10 Jun 2025	13:41 PDT	The issue with Google Maps Platform, Distance Matrix API, Geocoding API, Directions API has been resolved for all affected locations as of Tuesday, 2025-06-10 13:32 PDT. We will publish an analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation. We thank you for your patience while we worked on resolving the issue.
10 Jun 2025	12:49 PDT	Summary: Google Maps Platform Geocoding, Routing APIs returns INVALID_REQUEST for Geocoding (forward) Description: Mitigation work is still underway by our engineering team. Current estimate by Engineering is 1-2 hours. The mitigation is expected to complete by Tuesday, 2025-06-10 03:00 PDT. We will provide more information by Tuesday, 2025-06-10 14:00 PDT. Thank you for your patience while we are working on mitigation of the issue. Diagnosis: API calls return geocoding status: INVALID_REQUEST for some locations. Workaround: Possible workaround: use Places Autocomplete in lieu of Address/Forward Geocoding, Place Details for place_id lookup in lieu of Geocoding place_id lookup. And feed lat/lng coordinates in lieu of address/place_id into Routing APIs.
