Increased error rate and latency on multiple Google Maps Platform APIs

The issue with Directions API, Distance Matrix API, Places API, Maps Embed API, Maps JavaScript API, Maps Static API, Places API, Routes APIs is less critical than initially indicated. Our Engineering Team is working on it.

If not and you have questions or are impacted, please open a case with the Support Team and we will work with you until this issue is resolved. Summary: Increased error rate and latency on multiple Google Maps Platform APIs

Description: We believe the issue with Directions API, Distance Matrix API, Places API, Maps Embed API, Maps Static API, Places API, Routes APIs, Maps JavaScript API is partially resolved.

Our engineering team has applied mitigation measures, and starting around 2022-08-08 19:15 US/Pacific error rates and latency have returned to the levels before the incident. We are monitoring our APIs before we declare a full resolution. We do not have an ETA for full resolution at this point.

We will provide an update by Tuesday, 2022-08-09 02:00 US/Pacific with current details.

Workaround: None at this time.
