Geocoding API may be returning fewer results for US East customers

The issue with geocoding has been resolved for all affected projects as of Thursday, 2022-08-04 13:31 US/Pacific.

Summary: Geocoding API may be returning fewer results for US East customers

Description: We are continuing to investigate this potential issue with geocoding in the Geocoding, Places, Directions and Distance Matrix APIs. From investigations so far, the severity of the problem appears to be low and is expected to be limited to customers accessing the services from the US East region.

We will provide more information by Thursday, 2022-08-04 14:05 US/Pacific.

Diagnosis: Fewer API calls produce a useful result.

Workaround: None at this time.
