Symptoms All rule-level settings are again respected, independent of pack settings. All alerts and detections from affected rules will be reprocessed over the duration of the service update. Reprocessed alerts and detections may arrive with up to a 12 hour delay. Workaround None for now as the issue stands mitigated. |

Description Google SecOps will be performing a service update between Thursday, 2026-03-19 18:00 PDT and Friday, 2026-03-20 00:30 PDT. The previously communicated 20:00 PDT window has been extended to 00:30 PDT. This update is specifically targeted at customers with the following attributes:

Symptoms During this brief window, the rules with customized settings will revert to the settings for the rule’s parent pack. All alerts and detections from these rules will be created with up to a 12 hour delay. This can manifest itself in changes to rule alerting status, Rules Dashboard and API may temporarily show inconsistent "live" or "alerting" states. After the update has completed, all rule-level settings will be respected, independent of pack settings. Workaround Rule Pack settings will be respected; these can be updated to provide the desired detection behavior throughout the service window. |
