Incident affecting Google SecOps
Google SecOps customers may experience degradation of certain detection views for a subset of alerts.
Incident began at 2025-05-29 11:29 and ended at 2025-06-02 16:37 (all times are US/Pacific).

Description The root cause for the missing alerts for Google SecOps alert views has been identified and resolved as of 2025-06-02 16:37 PDT. Though the new alert detections are working as expected, the engineering team continues to work on backfilling the missing alert data for some of the impacted customers as per the mitigation plan. The impacted customers will be communicated with the further progress on backfilling separately via support cases. If you have questions or are impacted, please open a case with the Support Team and we will work with you until this issue is resolved. |

Description Mitigation work is currently underway by our engineering team. The team has identified and resolved the root cause, which resolves the issue for new-arriving detections as of 2025-06-02 16:37 PDT. Additional data backfill will be required to mitigate the impact for existing detections. Engineering is currently creating a plan for these backfill steps. We do not have an ETA for complete mitigation at this point. We will provide an update by Tuesday, 2025-06-03 18:00 PDT with current details. Symptoms Impacted customers may experience missing alerts in certain alert views while using Google SecOps. Workaround Detections are visible under the /ruleDetections view accessible from the Rules Dashboard. SOAR customers will also see these alerts on the case page. Rules of particular concern can be copied into a new rule and run as a retrohunt. |
