The issue with Google BigQuery has been resolved for all affected users as of Friday, 2023-12-01 10:32 US/Pacific.

Summary: JSON_SET function has stopped working

Description: We believe the issue with JSON_SET function is now resolved in US and EU multi-regions.

The issue is partially mitigated in us-east4. Our engineers are continuing to work on fully mitigating the issue in us-east4 region.

Full resolution is expected to complete by Friday, 2023-12-01 11:00 US/Pacific.

We will provide an update by Friday, 2023-12-01 11:15 US/Pacific with current details.

Diagnosis: Customers may receive an error message when running queries with JSON_SET: Invalid number of parameters passed to function: expected at least 4, got 3'

Workaround: None at this time.
