Incident affecting Database Migration Service

Google Engineer investigating issues with initiation of new DB migrations. Please use API directly if you are experiencing failures.

The issue with Database Migration Service is believed to be affecting a very small number of customers and our Engineering Team is working on it.

If you have questions or are impacted, please open a case with the Support Team and we will work with you until this issue is resolved.

Summary: Google Engineer investigating issues with initiation of new DB migrations. Please use API directly if you are experiencing failures.

Description: Mitigation work is currently underway by our engineering team.

The mitigation is expected to complete by Wednesday , 2022-09-21 10:30 US/Pacific.

We will provide more information by Wednesday, 2022-09-21 10:00 US/Pacific.

Diagnosis: Cloud customers trying to migrate their on-prem PG DB or CSQL TU PG DB to AlloyDB, will always fail to start the migration job. They will always get an error when trying to test the migration job

Workaround: Please use API directly to initiate DB migration

Our engineering team continues to investigate the issue.

We will provide an update by Sunday, 2022-09-18 02:30 US/Pacific with current details.
