Description:

Google Cloud Interconnect experienced elevated packet loss from Hyderabad, India edge location to cloud regions asia-south1, asia-south2, and asia-southeast1 for a duration of 3 hours, 20 minutes. From preliminary analysis, the root cause of the issue is a potential physical link issue between the Hyderabad, India edge location and Google's production backbone network.

The issue was mitigated by redirecting the network traffic away from the problematic link. Our engineers will continue to work with corresponding vendors to fix the underlying physical link issue.

Customer Impact:

Google Cloud Interconnect customers connecting to cloud regions asia-south1, asia-south2, and asia-southeast1 from Hyderabad, India edge location experienced elevated packet loss.

Description:

Google Cloud Interconnect experienced elevated packet loss from Hyderabad, India edge location to regions asia-south1, asia-south2, and asia-southeast1 between beginning at Wednesday, 2024-09-11 08:00 US/Pacific and 11:20 US/Pacific.

Our engineers have taken appropriate measures mitigating the issue at 11:20 US/Pacific and are continuing to monitor closely.

We will provide an update by Wednesday, 2024-09-11 12:04 US/Pacific with current details. We apologize to all who are affected by the disruption.
