Incident affecting Google Kubernetes Engine

Description: A small percentage of GKE private clusters are experiencing control plane unavailability after master re-creation is triggered.

Incident began at 2020-02-24 18:30 and ended at 2020-02-25 04:48 (all times are US/Pacific).

25 Feb 2020	04:48 PST	The issue with Google Kubernetes Engine private clusters is believed to be affecting a very small number of projects and our Engineering Team is working on it. If you have questions or are impacted, please open a case with the Support Team and we will work with you until this issue is resolved. No further updates will be provided here.
25 Feb 2020	01:07 PST	Description: A small percentage of GKE private clusters are experiencing control plane unavailability after master re-creation is triggered. Symptoms: Customers may not be able to apply changes to their private clusters or workloads when upgrading the cluster master, updating addons or rotating master IPs. Please avoid upgrading the master, updating addons or rotating master IPs for GKE private clusters. Our engineering team continues to investigate the issue. We will provide an update by Tuesday, 2020-02-25 05:00 US/Pacific with current details. Diagnosis: Customers may not be able to apply changes to private clusters or workloads if updating cluster masters, updating addons or rotating master IPs. Workaround: None at this time.
