Incident affecting Cloud Firestore

We've received a report of an issue with Cloud Firestore.

Incident began at 2020-02-04 23:00 and ended at 2020-02-05 00:00 (all times are US/Pacific).

The issue with Cloud Firestore Native API has been resolved for all affected users as of Wednesday, 2020-02-05 01:00 US/Pacific.

Description: We've received a report that calls to Firestore using the native API from the us-central1 and asia-northeast1 regions were failing, starting at 2020-02-04 23:00 US/Pacific.

As of 2020-02-05 00:00 US/Pacific, error rates have returned to normal. Our engineering team is currently working to ensure this issue does not recur.

Calls to Firestore in Datastore mode were not affected.

We will provide an update by Wednesday, 2020-02-05 01:30 US/Pacific with current details.
